About Our Meetings

Usually, we gather every Sunday

Start time - at 12 pm

Format - mostly in-person (cafe etc.), 1 per month online or hybrid.

Every meeting consists of three parts:

Prepared speeches (2-3 members deliver their projects, 5-7 min each)
Table Topic Speeches Session (impromptu speeches): Table Topic Master addresses a few questions to the audience; speakers are chosen randomly and are given 2 minutes to make an impromptu speech on a suggested topic. In the end, the audience will vote for the best speaker of the session.
Evaluation: all speakers receive feedback from more experienced club members.

Guests are always welcome!

You will listen to prepared speeches and come on stage during Table Topic impromptu speeches!

If you are a member, you can sign up for a role in a commenting mode.

A small instructions for your first visit

1️⃣ According to our agenda,

at 12:10 pm, Our President will officially open the meeting and ask guests to introduce themselves.

🗣 It should be a short speech of under 1 minute - just your Name, your expectation from our meeting and any additional details you want to tell us.

2️⃣ Then we will have a section of prepared speeches (according to the speakers’ education purposes https://www.toastmasters.org/pathways-overview), and you also will have a chance to leave your feedback to a speaker in Google-form.

3️⃣ Another main part of our meeting - Table Topic Session. Our Table Topic Master will call upon members and guests and give them a topic to speak, about 1 to 2 minutes.

🗣 It's a great chance to train your impromptu speaking skills, so don't miss it and raise a hand to take part.

At the end of this part, you can vote for the Best Table Topic Speaker.

4️⃣ The winner will be announced during the Evaluation part of our meeting.

This is Us

Dnipro Hills Toastmasters Club - an English language public speaking and leadership club, a part of the non-profit worldwide Toastmasters International community (https://www.toastmasters.org/ )

We were founded on August 2002 by a native-American who wanted to give a possibility to every Ukrainian to advance their career, improve English and public speaking, and learn leadership skills.

The first members of our club were so enchanted by Kyiv and the Dnipro river that club's name was chosen as Dnipro Hills - Hills of the Dnipro river.

We have own educational system:

each member has a special account on the Toastmasters' official web-site and works on individual educational Pathways and provided with digital materials.
each member can be elected as an officer and be able to develop specific organizational and leadership skills
